A little history:

Population per the 2012 census- 5,187,582

Colorado was admitted as the 28th state on August 1st 1876. President Ulysses S. Grant issued the proclamation.

Her motto “Nothing Without the Deity".

Colorado is known as the "Centennial State".

2012 Presidential election Colorado voted once again to be a 'Blue' state.

Based on voting patterns since 1992, Colorado is trending Democratic in presidential elections. Since 1920 Colorado has voted only seven times for a Democratic President. Let's work together to change the tide to a 'Red' state.


Colorado became an official territory a few weeks before the firing on Fort Sumter signaled the official beginning of the Civil War. Some 4,000 males from the new territory served in the Union voluntary forces. Hundreds more served in the territory’s militia to stay Native Indian skirmishes.
