The Way I See It:
Pathetic whining from spoiled medical students. You asked for the loan, you knew it would have to be paid back by you, and now you want everyone who's actually working for a living to pay your debt for you.
A number of years ago, and young college student wrote a lyrical plea to his father: It went something like this: "Dear dad, no mun, no fun, your son." His dad wrote back, lyrically in response: "Dear son, too bad, it's sad, your dad." Pretty much sums it up. Can't pay, don't borrow!!! Had these prodigal children been exposed to some English Literature instead of Woke Leftist culture they may have remembered these words from Shakespear's Hamlet. "Neither a borrower nor a lender be." Loosely translated, do not borrow from a friend and do not make a loan to a friend. The second line from the afore mentioned quote was this: "For a loan oft loses both itself and a friend." In essence we working, tax-paying Americans are the student's friend and we do not, should not be obligated to pay the debts of others, especially if the obligation comes from an executive fiat. You borrowed it, you pay it!
That's the way I see it...
