“I would rather be morally right than factually correct.” AOC.
Can we be morally correct if we are factually wrong? If our moral judgments are based on a false reality, will we not have a false moral standard?
Today “Reality” is what the individual perceives it as. If an individual perceives themselves as a woman, then they are. If an individual perceives themselves as a minority then they are. Perception not genetics determines a persons gender, or race. Just ask Sen Warren, Rachel Dolezal, or Bradly (Chelsea) Manning.
Science is based on reality, hard mathematical data, and observed information. Many Liberals call to “Follow the science!” When what they really mean is “Follow the POLITICAL science!” Political reality is much different than factual reality.
Morality depends on your standards. What is your moral guide? It can be a written set of rules as is found in the Bible, Teachings of Buddha, or the Anarchist Manifesto. More often today it is a set of feelings that change with your diet, the weather or attitude.
The California Department of Education will vote on a new ethnic studies curriculum that seeks to root out “white supremacy,” “colonization,” and the various evils of American culture.
The curriculum cites R. Tolteka Cuauhtin’s book Rethinking Ethnic Studies, in which he argues that the United States was founded on “Eurocentric, white supremacist, capitalist, patriarchal, heteropatriarchal, and anthropocentric paradigm brought from Europe.”
Can anyone translate that into plain English?
*Overview of the Curriculm* LINK.
Sub-Saharan African Nations did not have the “wheel” until early 19th Century, brought to them by “White Colonial Supremacists” Indoor plumbing, two story buildings, stone and brick building materials were also things brought to Sub-Saharan Africa by “White Slavers” over the centuries.
But that is all factual correct, so it must be part of the “anthropocentric paradigm brought from Europe.” Not Morally correct by the Liberal standard.
Yes there have been many inventions and great scientific discoveries made by Black people over the years. But they were made by Black people educated in First world countries like England, France, Spain, and America. Lacking education is not the same as being stupid.
Yes Civilization did start in North Africa and the Mediterranean basin, Egyptians Berbers and Scythians were not black. They were Mediterranean, Not quite what we would call “white” either.
Arabic Numbers are superior to Roman numerals, Arabs are North African, but they are not black.
Asians had a Civilized culture older than the Medes and Persians. These all had a written language long before The Age of Christ. Africa had the last nation get its own written language, Kenya in 2009. The first was Nigeria around the year 400 ad.
Sumerian Cuneiform, Egyptian Hieroglyphic script, and Chinese script all go back to about 4000 BC.
But that will never be taught in Black History Month.
I am not saying they are stupid, just that they had no need for a written language of their own. Turkey got a written language in 1929, prior to that they used Arabic. The Cherokee Indians got one in 1820, prior to that they had no need of a written language.
Nations and Civilization takes many forms, that I will agree with but I much prefer the American Standard of Civilization to that of the Democratic Republic Of The Congo, Somalia, Chad or Liberia. I will enjoy the problems of living in a first world country over the leisure of a third world country.
Yes I do have friends who live in Sub-Saharan Africa, They are Black, White, Chinese and others that I have met over the years. I do like the relaxed attitude and friendly nature of many of the people I have meet over the years in many nations. We as a Nation can learn a lot from such people. Like how to enjoy life without video games, interpersonal communications, how to laugh at ourselves as well as the rest of the world.
If you really want to end racism and oppression, then quit talking about it! Quit being oppressed. Get on with your life and quit worrying about what others think of you.
The real world is a wonderful place, I hope someday you’ll join me and the world will live as one.
Until then Reality will remain an Optional illusion.
Just my thoughts for today.
